NAMED is a storytelling series created by Ola Asani. This policy explains how information submitted here is used.
1. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE
Ola Asani operates NAMED and is responsible for the information submitted through this site. For privacy enquiries, use the Contact form, including “Privacy request” in your message.
2. WHAT WE COLLECT
The participation form collects your full name, email address, country, type of brand, the story behind your name, why you want to participate, your privacy acknowledgement and submission time. The signup form collects your email, consent and signup time. Contact messages include your name, email, message and submission time.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information, confidential client material, identity documents or information about another person without permission.
3. HOW WE USE IT
With your consent, participation information is used to assess stories for the series and contact potential participants. Contact information is used to answer enquiries and handle data requests. Subscriber emails are held for NAMED release updates. Signing up adds your email to a release list. Automated email delivery is not currently active.
4. A SUBMISSION IS NOT PUBLICATION CONSENT
Submitting does not guarantee selection, provide a naming service or grant permission to publish your name, story, photograph or contact information. Any public feature requires a separate agreement and appropriate permissions. You remain free to decline.
5. STORAGE & ACCESS
Records are stored in the site’s database. They are not published in the website or exposed through a public list API. Hosting and infrastructure providers, including OpenAI and Cloudflare, process information as needed to run the service. Infrastructure may process information outside your country. The website is publicly accessible; submitted form records are not public.
Basic request data may be processed by the hosting infrastructure for security and operation. The form endpoint uses a temporary hashed network identifier to limit repeated submissions. Those rate-limit records are removed during a subsequent submission after their daily window.
6. RETENTION & YOUR CHOICES
Information is retained for reviewing submissions, responding to enquiries and maintaining the release list, with review and deletion when it is no longer needed. You may request access, correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent through Contact. To leave the release list, send “Unsubscribe” and the subscribed email address. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Withdrawal does not undo processing already carried out.
7. COOKIES & THIRD-PARTY CONTENT
This site does not add advertising or analytics trackers. Fonts and artwork are served with the site. Hosting sign-in, when required, may use authentication cookies. External links, including Instagram and Ola’s website, have their own policies. There is no embedded third-party video player.
8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This policy will be updated if contact arrangements, retention practices, email delivery or video embeds change. Changes to the use of your information will require appropriate notice and, when needed, fresh consent.
9. SUBMISSION TERMS
Submit only accurate information that you are entitled to share. NAMED may contact you about your submission, but participation and any later public appearance remain voluntary and subject to a separate agreement. Required privacy consent covers review and contact, not public use or unrelated marketing.
